Appalachian Appraisal was founded in 1999 by Lincoln Young. Appraisers on staff are FHA Certified and complete both residential and commercial appraisals throughout a large territory. Each appraiser has a specific coverage area. This reduces turnaround time and increases our expertise.
Our appraisals are required to comply with the USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) as well as Fannie Mae Guidelines. We are aware that many lenders have additional requirements that we are required to meet. As a company, we focus on getting to know specific lender’s guidelines. We call our client’s to clarify guideline questions prior to submitting our reports. This helps our clients by reducing the time our appraisals are in underwriting and further assures that our reports are compliant.
